Grand County SAR trainings are generally held on Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. Our main training location is the East Grand Fire Department building between Fraser and Winter Park.
We also train in other parts of the county including Kremmling and Grand Lake. Field trainings are also scheduled periodically and our Board of Directors meets every other month, usually at East Grand.
Ongoing training includes such topics as vertical evacuation, avalanche rescue, search techniques and land navigation. Training is free to members.
