Getting Here...

It's a beautiful ride to Grand County whether you come by plane, train or automobile. Many of our visitors drive up over U.S. 40 and Berthoud Pass from Denver, arriving at Grand County's eastern border just 76 miles later. During summer, take Trail Ridge Road over the Continental Divide for a spectacular entry into Grand Lake. It never hurts to check road conditions before you leave.

You can ride the rails daily into Fraser or Granby on Amtrack's Chicago/Oakland route which passes through Denver's Union Station. The Denver Rio Grand Ski Train fires up for day trips to the slopes of Winter Park every Saturday and Sunday during the ski season. It's a relaxing two hours up and two hours back, with incredible scenery all the way. The Ski Train even takes a trip or two up to Winter Park in summer during the music festivals in July and August.

If you're coming by private plane, choose from two airports: McElroy Air Field, one mile east of Kremmling or Granby-Grand County Airport, one mile northeast of Granby.
